Thanks to our production sites in Berneck and Herisau and the successful integration of the “Extrusion” division in 2007, we have developed into a technology leader in profiles and seals. mobil Werke AG prepares for the future. The company is restructured on 1 January 2017 as part of the succession plan. The mobil Kunststoffprofile division is spun off into a separate public limited company “mobil Kunststoffprofile AG”, with all shares remaining under the full ownership of the Lang family. Lukas Lang, the previous division manager of mobil Kunststoffprofile, takes over the management of mobil Kunststoffprofile AG.
Renaming of the Polymer Extrusion division to mobil Kunststoffprofile as part of a consistent approach to being a development partner for our customers. Personnel expansion in the Development division and regional expansion in the Sales division.
Quality management system ISO 9001:2008 – process-oriented QMS (quality management system) for the Polymer Extrusion division at the Berneck and Herisau sites. Strengthening of the Polymer Extrusion division through the acquisition of the “Rubber and Thermoplastics” division of HUBER+SUHNER AG, effective 1 October 2007. mobil Werke AG thus becomes the leading supplier of multifunctional plastic profiles for numerous industries.
Reorganisation of Mobil-Werke U. Frei AG. When the current managing director Roland Lang takes over, the company is given a different name. The current company mobil Werke AG is founded.
In autumn of this year, Ulrich Frei takes over the management as the third generation.
Generation change from Ulrich Frei Senior to his son Ulrich Frei Junior. The modern production plant now comprises 21,000 m² of buildings on a site of around 42,000 m².
The first plastic extruder is bought and a further five are added later. This means a large number of profiles can be offered to the electrical and furniture building industries.
